Post office and kindergarten

The former post office building by Oskar Poříska currently forms part of the Brno - Žabovřesky Town Hall, built according to a design by the Radko Květ architecture studio in 1995. The original mass of the post office can only be identified according to the segmentation of windows in the street facade and the roof terrace on top of one of the sections of the town hall. The neighboring building of the kindergarten, also designed by Poříska, was also included in the reconstruction. Its mass, characterized by the protruding cornice and horizontal segmentation of windows was originally situated in an inner block, which was later disrupted by the building of a highway flyover.
