Before the architecturally unique cupolas of pavilions C and Z were executed, this system designed by Ferdinand Lederer, then a professor at the Brno Technical College, was tested on Pavilion Y. The structure consisted of steel rods spirally shaped into a spherical cap, the intersections of which were secured with steel ties.
In 1982 this small pavilion located near the Bauer Chateau was supplemented with an annexe with an entrance and sanitary facilities designed by the architect Jaroslav Šmerek.
