Miloš Laml

Architect

Miloš Laml, architect and town planner, was born in Brno on 28 December 1884. Studying first at the Czech Technical University in Prague and then at the German Technical University in Brno, he completed his studies in 1908. In 1910 he was appointed architect and town planner at the technical department of the Moravian Governor's Office in Brno. He held the same position at the Provincial Political Administration in 1918-28, where he was assigned the task of modernizing and building new facilities for Masaryk University in the early 1920s. In the 1930s he taught at the State Industrial School of Architecture in Brno. He died in Brno on 16 November 1964.
